They might cost a bit more but they definitely are worth it. The regular size ink tanks last for 6 pieces of paper and are empty. The High capacity really do last long. I kinda feel that HP purposely does this so your forced to pay more for the high cartridge but I think that's the trade off when you can get a printer that is less than $100. Now that i think of it it might be cheaper to keep buying new printers because you get all new ink and if you had to purchase them separately it would cost more...lol

I have a HP 309a All in one printer I use these hp ink cartridges in and I am very pleased.I will keep buying them as long as I use HP printers.

Best Deals for HP OEM 564XL Black Cartridge

Not any better than a regular cartridge, but more expensive. Printer showed 80% ink remaining, but it would not print other than streaks. Put in a new cartridge and everything was fine.

I bought this for a HP Photosmart 5520. When I installed it the printer kept saying it was a counterfeit cartridge. Not sure what was going on. So far it is working fine.
