Before purchasing, I called the supplier and asked the following question: Will my Hp Officejet Pro 8000 printer accept these cartridges without all 4 lights being constantly on indicating that each cartridge is almost out of ink? The lady I talked with stated that there is a chip inside each cartridge that must be reset so this wouldn't happen. She also stated that they re-set these chips on all of their remanufactured cartridges.
When I installed the 4 cartridges, all 4 lights came on and they have been on ever since. The black ink works OK but when I try to print in color, the image or character is not even close to what appears on the monitor. Since the customer support person wasn't truthful with me, I feel that Amazon should not be offering these cartridges on their website!
I am not at all satisfied with these remanufactured cartridges and would not recommend them! I tried to go this route to save money as 4 of the original HP cartridges cost more than I paid for the printer. My printer, when using the original 4 cartridges, does an excellent job if you can afford to replace the cartridges as often as I have to. As I print a lot of black and white documents for our prison ministry, I'm also thinking that I might need to replace this HP printer with one that is less expensive to operate. HP's prices for their original cartridges seem to be a big rip-off!!!

It was too hard to pass up these cartridges since they are so much cheaper than the HP ones. So far, I have only used the black cartidge. It worked fine for a while, then I started having trouble. The printer doesn't seem to recognize this cartridge so it won't print or copy. It will work once if I turn the printer off and back on, but it's really a pain to do that every time I want to print something, esp. since this machine takes a while to shut down and boot up. Not sure why it worked for a while and then stopped, but I probably won't buy any more of these. It's not worth the hassle. I thought this was a good buy, however We soon found out that the colors are vastly different from the original HP ink. Also my HP 8500 will not show the status of the ink cartridges. For several days after inserting a cartridge it still sends a warning that its almost empty. The display window shows that that the color is empty. Be aware you get what you pay for!JR

I've been refilling my OEM HP cartridges for over 10 years. And I've been dealing with this cartridge design for just as long. So let me tell you that no matter which company you buy from, you WILL (if not now) eventually have problems with your printer due to third party chips.Whether you want to buy prefilled cartridges like these or refill your own. The best thing to do is to REUSE the bottoms of your ORIGINAL HP ink cartridges (the little plastic part that contains the chip). Yes even though it might continue to say low ink, you will NEVER have any problems that will cause your printer to stop working like 3rd party chips will.
If you dont know how to refill your original HP cartridges, these are a good deal and will save you a lot of money, just use your old HP bottoms. It's really easy to take a razor blade to cut off the tape that holds the bottoms onto the catrridge and they will likely fit on the 3rd party cartridges you buy.
