HP 950 CN049AN#140 Black Officejet Ink Cartridge - Retail Packaging Reviews

I purchased one ink cartridge back in November 2012 and placed it in my HP Officejet Pro 8600 about two days ago.

Once I inserted the cartridge the printer performed its standard preparation and it immediately showed that the black ink level was below 30%, not normal. I then printed a word document and an alert popped up on the computer screen as well as the screen on the printer. The alert stated that I had placed a non HP ink cartridge in my printer and it would void the warranty. I was obviously concerned because the package that the cartridge was in is a standard HP ink cartridge package (as displayed) and everything looks legit.

After I had printed that one word document the ink level showed at 0% but it is still printing clean black ink on my documents. I assume it is an error with the cartridge and everything will be fine but I don't understand how it would think it is not a genuine HP ink cartridge.

Same as my last review of the combo pack, we do a lot of printing and this didn't serve what we need but it did do what it said, so now we know we will buy XL from now on, and when I say we do a lot of printing, seriously do more than the average, so this is a good buy just not for us.
