After trying the cheap import look-a-likes I orederd these from Amazon. They come in a plastic bag, but each cartridge is in their own factory sealed package. Who needs the box? They are real genuine Brother cartridges and work fine, no problems and not the first time I've used these from Amazon.

This is NOT genuine Brother ink! My friend used ink that was not manufactured by Brother. It ruined his printer. No where on the packaging or the cartridge does it say Brother. I have Brother ink and it has the word Brother on the vacume seal. This is fraud!!!

The container of this ink is completely wrong, and cost me my printer. This product has no business in the business world as somebody might have some legal questions to answer in the court of law.

Advertised as Brother originals they are refills of Brother cartridges. False advertising, surprised at Amazon for using this supplier.

Costly? Yes, but less so than if purchased at local office supply stores. If you love your printer don't settle for substitutes. Trust me when I say that I tried to save money by buying substitutes and that proved to be a rather bothersome and unsatisfactory experience. Two cartridges arrived damaged and two more didn't work at all. My printer didn't `like' them as they tended to leak and printing was not true to color. I ended up spending quite some time cleaning up the mess, and the savings became unimportant to me in comparison.
