I've been paying that big price for the HP cartridge tried the cartridge store refills since I go through so much ink... didn't work at all. The store replaced it with a second that failed as well, so I went back to HP. I tried the PerformancePlus+ on a whim, plugged it in and BAM! it works great! If there is any critical difference in the quality, it isn't apparent to me. I am so happy to have found an inexpensive alternative to the HP cartridges!

Well, I normally have had good luck with other brands of re-manufactured ink cartridges. This brand though, stinks! It has ink in it, I can hear it slosh around. But it can barely print any trace of words. I went through 4 cycles of cartridge cleaning and still no luck. I would have to say this is complete junk, and to not purchase this brand.

Bought two of these cartridges to try on my HP PSC500 figuring that at this price it would be worth checking out. Both of them failed miserably. After vigorous shaking and cleaning I got maybe one or two pages of clear black printing, and then the pages went back to smeared, smudged and streaky print. Failed experiment, and I will never buy these again. Might try some other manufacturers, but Performance Plus is off my list now.
