Got the cartridges (Not in the combo package shown, but individually wrapped) which shows the ink to be HP 940. (No "XL" on any of the wrapping, but labeled with the part numbers C4907S, C4908S and C4909S)
It also came with a card that references that the C4907S, C4908S and C4909S are XL cartridges.
The XL cartridges that I purchased in the past typically have "XL" on the package and is labeled C4907AN, etc...
No idea is this is really an "XL" cartridge or whether I will even get 1400 pages with this ink. I would have preferred the vendors not misrepresent the item by listing it as a combo with the picture shown, when it is clearly not in that packaging. At least buyers would make an informed decision about whether to take a chance on these cartridges...

Order came promptly, and was a fair price, comparable to Best Buy. But I don't have to drive to the store and take time from my work day. Buy the XL, as you will get at least 800 more copies/yield than from the regular cartridges

they claim these are hp 940xl cartridges but i compared the serial numbers to the hp 940xl cartridges i had and the serial numbers do not match nor are they on hp's website. these are FAKE or at minimum are NOT 940xl and not worth the money!!!!! DO NOT BUY.

ALTHOUGH THE WRAPPING SAID THE TRIPAK WAS XL IT WAS NOT XL WHEN I OPENED IT. SINCE I NEEDED IT RIGHT AWAY, I USED IT, BUT WAS VERY DISSATISFIED TO HAVE PAID FOR XL AND JUST RECEIVED THE SMALLER SIZE.
