I have purchased both the Brother branded cartridges and the Blake Printing Supply version; in my experience the Blake version is comparible if not better in terms of toner quality and page yield; for half the price. Based on the page count, I ended up with an average of 736 more pages printed with the Blake toner cartridge. I haven't checked the print quality under a microscope, but visually they look identical. I'm using MFC-8890DW printers, I am very satisfied with the product.

I do a lot of printing every week. I print up tp five reams a week. So I need to use a high yield cartridge. This particular cartridge I had to stop using about a 1/3 of the way into it. The pages became streaky with lines on the page, from that it went to a dark coating over the paper. I print legal documents so this does not work. What a waste. I typically buy one brother high yield toner and an off brand toner for my HL-5300DW to keep cost down but still maintain quality. I will not be purchasing this brand again.

This refurbished toner cartridge is dumping nickel-sized spots of toner onto paper. Just installed yesterday and have printed about 30 pages so far. I have cleaned out the toner dust from inside my printer twice, and have now removed the cartridge.

As soon as I put it in, the printer (a Brother MFC-8890DW) read "Toner Low." That same day, after less than 100 copies, it changed to "Replace Cartridge" and refused to print further. It appears to have plenty of toner in it and the pages that printed were fine, so I tried the usual things to reset the printer (unplug printer, removed/replaced cartridge, even tried a spare drum) but it didn't help. My guess is they failed to properly reset or replace the flag gear used on these cartridges. There was no information included on how to contact the manufacturer for a replacement, so I just returned the whole thing.

This is supposed to get 8,000 page yield and in the past with Brother brand toner cartridges I have gotten very close to that. With this one I think I maybe got 2,000 pages. At that rate I might as well just buy the Brother one because paying $30 to get 4 cartridges is going to run me a heck of a lot more money. So boo Blake Printing Suppy...just boo.
