So I saved some money. Unfortunately the folks at Canon understand that their printers are simply vending machines for ink cartridges. This fantastic deal worked for a few pages, then the printer rejected it giving me a carteridge error and a trip to the store for a genuine cannon carteridge. Sad, but true, and expensive story. Honestly, now I am considering a better printer all together that has a lower cost/print page. I think that is the only way.

this is a lot better then $22 at the store and works great. It said I have to write 7 more words what the heck good is good

First there is the guarantee. So, it may work ( I haven't tried it yet) but certainly not without jumping through hoops.

Then: Due Canon programming, the printer will read the ink level as empty or near to empty. When the cartridges full of ink and read to use.

These warning messages may simply be ignore, and the printer should conlinue to operate normally.

-lnstall cartridge.

-First message will appears click on OK to continue, Printer will start printing.

-Second message may appear & yellow light flashing & printe/s LCD show error Code "E" or Low ink level. -Do not click cancel printing.

Please follow this:

[!p ?rihte$ Hold the cancel/resume (cancel/Reset) RED button with the color button the Green one for 10-15 second.

lF PdnteG Press and hold down printer resume button until the yellow light disappears and the green light stays on.

MX Printer: -Open Properties in "Printers" from "$tart Baf'-"Settings'on left lower comer. -Open "Advance".

-Unchecked "Enable advanced printing features" -Apply and close.

-Hold "Stop" button on (MX....) printer for 10-20 seconds, The "Ran out of ink" message will disappear,

-Open "Properties" in "Printers" again as in Step 2.

-Check "Enable advance printing features" to reset counter.

NOTE: lnstallation instruction will not reset the ink levels.

Please open any document to print, and as soon as any eror appear & yellow light flashing & printefs LCD show enor Code "E" or Low

ink level, Do not clicl< cancel printing. Please follow this:

Hold the cancel/resume (cancel/Reset) RED button with the color button the Green one for 10-15 second, and you will start hear the

printer prepare itself to print. Release the buttons and the printer will start printing.
