I've tried refilling cartridges in the past and simply went to purchasing off-brand cartridges instead. I take a LOT of pictures and haven't ever really printed them at home because I went through the cartridges so fast. And even the "cheap" ones aren't cheap. This is the most wonderful purchase I've made in a long time. I have printed about 40 8.5x11 pages of my kids' photo albums, pages filled with a collage of pictures for each month (yes, I was wayyyy behind). I also took my printer to a volunteer photo shoot for one of the local hospitals this past weekend and printed about 150 4x6 photos before I ran out of one of the colors. Now I won't hem and hah (?) when my kids want to print what I call their "silly" stuff because it's costing me next to nothing now. :-) VERY happy with this purchase.

For the first 5 months, this product was completely dependable.

I did everything to maintain it. I printed at least once every 5 days. My printer has a head cleaner which I used every month.

But as time progressed, some colors just weren't included in the prints. Sometimes it would be missing black, others magenta. It just failed print after print until it stopped printing anything completely.

It's cheap and lasted the price you would pay regular ink cartriges, but just doesn't last. At least, for me.

OH! Also, it leaked a lot of ink in my printer.

I purchased this ciss for my Epson Workforce in December of last year. Everything worked great for about a month until the yellow print head clogged and no amount of cleaning the print heads resolved the issue. I contacted the seller through email and he said that he would call with information on how to correct this malfunction. I have yet to hear from him. What happened to the "no clog guarantee"? . I'm not impressed.

This product never worked properly for us. Spent hours upon hours trying to troubleshoot this all with no success. Would not buy or recommend this product.

With any product like this, you can expect a few problems getting it to work. You are, after all, installing something into a printer for which the printer was not designed. I watched Youtube videos prior to beginning. The most important thing is to figure out exactly where to install the ink tube support arm and just how you will feed the tube into the printer so it tracks smoothly when the printhead moves rapidly back and forth. In my Workforce 600, I carefully removed a few pieces of plastic using a hacksaw blade and pliers. These pieces interfered with the ink tube's travel path. My concern was that the tube would snag on a protrusion or otherwise destroy itself tracking with the fast moving print head. So I was very careful during this part of the install.

My black cartridge had a bad computer chip and after multiple attempts, the printer still refused to recognize it. With one "down," you are dead in the water. I reinstalled my old cartridges so I could use the printer and emailed the seller that I had a bad cartridge. I was all set to return the system through Amazon, but upon re-examination and watching a few Youtube videos, I figured out I could more easily replace the cartridge's computer chip than ship the whole system back. I contacted the seller with this proposal, who promptly sent me a complete set of replacement chips at no extra charge. I installed the new chip in the black cartridge and in minutes I was up and printing with this new ink supply system. It's been a couple of weeks now and everything is working fine.

Before I switched to this CISS system I had already been using refillable after-market cartridges for a couple of years. This system, if it continues to work this well, eliminates the mess of always having to refill the individual cartridges using ink bottles and syringes. Very nice indeed; not to mention all the money I'll save.
