Worked great on my Canon MG5220. Reset OEM Cartridges and LD Clear Cartridges with 2nd party chips. Not sure if it will work on all 2nd party chips, but it did work on those.
Uses a printer style USB cable for power, which you have to supply. Thankfully I had two spares sitting in my cable box, so no biggy for me.

I was hesitant because I use non OEM inks but this worked like a charm in less than 2 seconds. Just make sure that you have (or have access to) a "printer" cable.

I have used this item several times and only 2 ocasions was it not able to reset cartridge. Happy with purchase.
