I tried one of those remanufactured ink cartridge. It did not work. On the bottom of this type of cartridge there is a small chip in a recess. When the ink is gone it is registered on this chip letting the printer know there is no ink. The new cartridge would not even register on the printer as a valid compatible ink cartridge. Even when I swaped the working old chip on the new full cartridge it registered as empty. My printer is used for business, even though the reman ink cartridge is half the price, having a set of prints delayed until I get a new cartridge, the customer did not think it was worth it. The cartridge I bought was not purchaced from Amazon. But one failure is all it took for me not to rely on reman cartridge. Espically if it is for a business.

The main problem with these re-manufactured cartridges is not the dispersion of ink, it's the "expired" chip that keeps sending a message to the printer's "console" that the cartridge is spent, when in fact it is fully charged. Other than that, they perform as expected.

This was the final straw in my abandonment of all HP products. We've had catastrophic failures of six HP products--three printers and three laptops--over the past decade. When the printer associated with this cartridge refused to work because another of the cartridges expired--the cartridge was fresh from the package and worked without issue, but HP designed the printer to stop working without providing any workaround--I threw the printer in the dumpster and replaced it with a very inexpensive Brother printer.

Having moved from HP to Brother printers and Dell computers, I've been spoiled by those products' enduring quality, and low purchase and operating costs.

My advice: Avoid HP products.

Works great, even though it is not an HP cartridge, it has a high yield and works really well in our plotter.

This product is great. The cartridge worked perfectly with my HP business inkjet 1200. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for great quality ink cartridges at a great price.

As a side note, I don't understand why this product has such bad reviews, I almost didn't buy the cartridge because of it, but I'm very glad I decided to give 'em a try.
