Product worked well, no compatibility issues with my HP 4P. This is an older laserjet, so finding toner cartridges is getting more difficult and expensive. This cartridge was priced low enough that I was willing to take a chance. If the cartridge had not worked, I would have just replaced the printer (new lasers are around $150), but now the printer has new life. Output is as nice as when the printer was new.

To make this cartridge work you must pull a tab first. The tab releases the black powdered ink inside the cartridge, then you insert the cartridge into the printer. When I pulled the tab it wouldn't release, then it broke off. I tossed the cartridge into the garbage, ordered an identical model from Lasermonks, and when it arrived I pulled the tab and it worked perfectly. Lasermonks gets my business from now on.

I was warned about re-manufactured toner cartridges and I should have listened. Minimal leakage upon arrival, but the printer must NOW be warmed up and a test page run before I get a proper print quality. Really irritating and this was never an issue with an original cartridge. DO NOT buy.

This is a refurbished cartridge but it works well. As you know, you can no longer buy a new 74A cartridge. I have a Laserjet 4 P! Sure it's from the 1800's but it still works well. This cartridge allows me to continue to use my antique. I just love stuff that's built to last and love my printer. So, I really appreciate this refurbished toner cartridge that works and makes good copies.
