Like the product although the tool to drill the hole in the ink cartridge is tough to use. Great deal vs buying more cartridges!Best Deals for ND TM Brand Dinsink 4X30ML (1BK+1C+1M+1Y) refill ink kit for Canon
I decided to write this review before the pain went away and the stains fade, so I could hopefully better capture exactly what you're in for with this kit.First off, refilling the cartridges worked for me. At least, they're in, my printer is working (but also still thinks they're low), and the test pages printed fine. However, the process was not as smooth as the video or instructions led me to believe. You have to really work to save some money here.
The instructions mention that you'll want to work in an area where you can "tolerate a spill." In reality, you'll want a roll of paper towels, maybe some rubber gloves, and old clothes. Even working slowly and carefully, there is just no way you're not going to get some ink where it shouldn't be.
As other reviewers mentioned, the "thumb drill" tool included with the kit is virtually useless. At least, mine was. I'm no shrinking violet, but I worked at drilling through the plastic for 15 minutes with no results. I went looking for my rotary tool, couldn't find it, and finally just used a small screw and a screwdriver to drill down through the dimples. It was still not a perfect process, but it worked.
When you refill your colored ink, wait until you have all three holes drilled before filling any of them. I didn't realize that the ink would so easily drip out of the bottom, so it made drilling the third hole messier than it had to be. The paper towel caught it, but I didn't like watching the ink I worked so hard to add come back out.
The entire process took me about an hour. As I mentioned, my printer still thinks the ink is low. In fact, it believes there is no black ink, and I had to reset the error code and got a warning that Canon would not be responsible for any product failure resulting from running the printer with empty ink cartridges. Considering the ink cartridges cost twice what I paid for the printer, I'm not terribly concerned, but if your printer was more than $29, and you're worried about voiding your warranty, you might be.
All in all, so far, so good. If it continues to work the way it is now, I'd do it again. At first, I had a hard time choosing between three and four stars, but when I hovered over them, it was easy to choose between "It's okay" and "I like it." I did not like it, but it's okay.

The drill supplied for the cartridges is useless. It took me several minutes to get a hole started.I finally dug out my drill and used a very small bit to drill into cartridge. This worked fairly well.
After drilling holes, the ink went in pretty well. Used black electrical tape to cover drilled holes.
Will probably order again when I run out. It took a little of trial and error, but you save a ton of money.
