I have an X4550 wireless printer. I bought this ink from Amazon. I installed it and it wouldn't print at all. Amazon was going to pay shipping on a return but I was pinched to finish printing a paper that night. I searched the Lexmark site and found that some, but not all, X4550 models need an update that you can down load from their site. It's easy to find on their site and super fast to down load and install. Then you don't need to do it again after that.

So if you installed this cartridge and can't print, just do the down load and you're good to go.

i do a lot of printing, and this cartridge barely lasted a month, the high yield cartridge is a few dollars more and lasted 2 or 3 times as long. spend the extra few bucks and get the other one, it also has the reserve portion of the cartridge so even when it warns you its getting low you have time to get another, this one is done when it says its done and if you dont have a replacement you are stuck.

I bought this cause it was cheaper than other printer cartridges I found that were the same kind. Also I didn't have to go anywhere since it was delivered. It was delivered fast, it works, and I'm glad I bought it.

I thought I purchased both cartridges, if this were the case this would have been a really good price. However, I got the black only for about $7.00 more than I would have paid if I ran to walmart. Lesson learned. Read all fine print and DO NOT let pictures be a guide as to what you are getting.

Since this is just an ink cartridge, it's hard to become excited about it; however, it arrived very quickly and is new so in very good condition and is presently being used in my printer. Therefore, I would have to give it a five-star rating.
