After years of supporting printers with these printheads, I generally haven't had many problems. It can definitely be difficult to figure out which printhead needs replacing, despite what the display says. Make sure to wipe the contacts clean on all printheads before replacing any. Replacing all at once may be a good strategy.Friday, January 31, 2014
Review of HP 11 Cyan Printhead in Retail Packaging
I have used this product for at least 8 years in multiple HP printer styles. The product is very reliable and often exceeds stated life expectancy. Be sure to clean electrical contacts of trace ink before installing new print head. Also, do not remove old print head until you are ready to insert the new print head (very important to prevent drying of ink within the printer system clogging that point). Run the "clean printhead" feature of the HP printer when indicated.
