The product does not come in retail package. It only comes in a sealed wrap that you would find inside the box but not with the retail box. Also this is not XL as indicated in the listing it is only HP 61 black and HP 61 tricolor. This is not in retail packaging and it is not XL. I bought this product and contacted them they replied that I did not see the fine print. (It clearly states Genuine HP 61XL Black and 61XL Color Combo In Retail Box) Buyer Beware!

the word genuine should be removed, it stated that the XL will print hundreds of pages, but after using it for around 50 pages, bye bye ink, the cartridges are almost empty. i will try to refill them, at least when refilled and later out of ink i will blame me for that and not being misled by the manufacturer's info.

I had to return these types of cartridges to another store here because they did not come packaged in their original box and there was no expiration date anywhere on the package. This purchase was exactly as billed, the cartridges were in HP's original packaging with a late-2013 expiration date. I bought one combo package to test and see if they were "genuine." Now that I know they are, I will buy more. Both my wife and I have printers that take these cartridges and go through the smaller cartridges every month or so.

HP must definitely do something about the cost of these. They are still going strong though but when they are finished I will use reconditioned cartridges which are much cheaper.

The vendor sent these quickly, and they were HP cartridges in sealed HP boxes the same as if I purchased them in the store. Exactly what I ordered at a great price.
