I thought I was ordering a set of authentic Lexmark brand ink cartridges for my Lexmark Pro printer. What I received was a compatible generic . The way the ad read --Lexmark--in bold print, that is what I thought I was purchasing. The seller left out the most important word--Compatibleink cartridges---not Lexmark brand.

Initially, I had a problem with one of the black ink cartridge not printing properly. I contacted the seller and was sent a replacement cartridge and have not had a problem since. I am fairly pleased with the product . Although this sellers ad seems to imply a brand name ink (Lexmark) it is not and should state that it is not. Because this seller took care of the problem, I would recommend this seller (but research first) as he promptly took care of the issue. Good customer service. Reasonable price on replacement ink.

As soon as I opened the ink packets, the ink poured out of the cartridge all over my hand and fingers and on to the floor. I tried with the other one, same thing happened, I did not open the other four.

I've purchased "compatible" ink cartridges in the past... And I've had good luck. When my girlfriend's printer ran out of ink, I read the reviews, and thought, "Well, the average rating is fairly good, so let's give it a go."

BIG MISTAKE.

We tried 2 of the 3 enclosed black ink carts, and BOTH exploded ink EVERYWHERE just by removing them from their orange plastic harness! We didn't even remove the yellow sticker from the cartridge and BOTH started pouring ink EVERYWHERE immediately.

The worst part? They want you to print a return label to ship back to them before a refund can be processed. HOW? I have no ink for my printer!

To the seller, I ask, "Why would you sell this to people?" It's a cruel joke.

The ink arrived in a timely fashion, was packaged well, and 5 out of the 6 cartridges performed as reported. For some reason, one of the three black cartridges was only good for no more than 20 standard text pages. If it had performed up to the standard of the other two black cartridges, the price to performance ratio would have warranted 5 stars. That said, with the ridiculous prices charged by Lexmark, I still feel like this package warrants four stars.

They work as well as the original ink carts and were a good deal. I would definitely buy them again.
