When I bought these, I decided that I was willing to take a chance on them. Turns out that I made a good choice!
Points:
1. They cost a lot less than the canon cartridges
2. The print quality appears just as good. (I made a few test prints with genuine canon cartridges a while ago. Later, I printed the same text and images with the sophia cartridges (after they had been installed for a while, as to make sure that there was no canon ink left in the print-head). I could not notice any discernable differences, except that the sophia cartridges might be just a hint darker (which I think is a good thing!). Also, I do want to mention that I have been an amateur photographer for years and I've done quite a bit of my own film/print darkroom processing, in both color and black and white. So I think I have a pretty good eye for quality and color balance. HOWEVER, I do want to caution that I do not know how the ink will hold up over time (but then again, do we know how the canon ink will hold up?).
a. If you're printing critical photos and archival documents, it might be safer to go with the canon cartridges (I'm sure this is just a psychological worry).
b. If you're just printing everyday stuff, then these should far exceed your expectations.
3. They have chips, so the printer should recognize them the same as the canon cartridges and show you ink levels.
4. I have not had any issues with the printer head clogging or decline in print quality; I've been using these cartridges for a little over 2 months now.
5. My only real concern is that the large black cartridges are not pigment based, like the canon ones. But I don't think it's been an issue so far.
I'll be sure to update if things should change, but again, I'm running on 2 months with these and I'm quite satisfied!
Also, I calculated how much the canon equivalents would cost, based on amazon pricing and the same number of tanks: the canon cartridges end up costing almost 4 times as much money!!

These cartridges are great, there is no significant difference between the original Canon cartridges and these, they are accepted by the printer as original replacements, the LED's work in the same way and the chip fools the printer into thinking an original cartridge has been installed. Ink monitor works with these as well so I would consider these as good replacements to the expensive original inks...When are original manufacturers going to learn that people turn to 3rd party cartridges because the ink is too expensive in the genuine boxed product, if copycat ink producers can make a profit by designing their own cartridge and using their own ink, then why can't the genuine manufacturers lower their prices and still make a profit..
So if you need a good replacement this is it until Canon reduce their ink prices by 60%...

I was on the fence on buying these cartridges and price drew me in. I didn't want to pay high price for the Canon cartridges so I took a chance with these and I'm glad I did. Works great on my Canon MG5220 and prints just as well as the Canon cartridges as far as I can tell. So for me it's a win win. Wife's happy because she can print her coupons and daughter can print her school stuff. =) I would definitely purchase again.Honest reviews on Sophia Global Compatible Ink Cartridge Replacement for Canon
I first ordered this product a few months back and to be honest I was leery but for the price I thought I would try it. Now it is a few months later and I am a returning customer and will continue to be a VERY HAPPY returning customer due to the quality of the product, the great customer service, speedy delivery and the fantastic pricing of the product. The first time I ordered there was on oversight, which I didn't even notice, of the large blank ink cartridge not being sent along with the other cartridges. I got a package in the mail about a week later saying they apologized for their oversight and sent the large black in cartridge.
I have had no problems with the cartridges and the colors come out great from my Canon printer. I print a lot of pictures for my scrapbooking so the quality of color is very important to and so far I have been very satisfied with the results.
Sophia Global called me at home to make sure I was happy with their product. Any company that is going to go to those lengths will be a company I will choose to do business with again and again!

I got these after the initial set of cartridges that came with my Canon MG5220 3-in-one printer began to run out. Being that the Canon name brand ink cost an arm and a leg I decided to look for a more economical alternative. I came across these and after seeing all the positive reviews decided I would give them a try. So far I'm very pleased with these. As soon as I installed them the printer recognized them right away with no issues on the chips. I have only done a little printing so far, but what I have done looks just as good as anything I did with the Canon cartridges. I will say I have not printed any photos, but only general documents and made some copies with the scanner, but both the color and black and white look good. Since I've only just used these a few days I can't speak on how long they last, but considering they cost about a quarter of what Canon ink cost they only need to last 25% as long to break even.
**Update 8/17/2012 I've had the opportunity to do some more printing since my initial review and I am still very happy with them. The print quality still looks as good as it did with the Canon OEM ink and the printer still shows the cartridges as full after printing several dozen pages of general documents.
