Anybody out there enjoy shelling out $80 bucks for OEM HP ink cartridges? I didn't think so, that's why I thought I'd take the risk and give these a shot. The massive cost savings of these re-mans over OEM HP's more than justified at least one attempt. It has been almost 6 months since I originally bought these because I wanted to give them a good run to determine their quality and longevity, so here is my report.

First, the printer used is a HP PSC750 all-in-one. The black #15 worked great right out of the box. I installed it and immediately it started printing. No prime or cleaning of any kind required, and it was a perfect fit. This model printer requires a "print head alignment" procedure to obtain optimum results, which the cartridge passed on the first attempt with absolutely no issues. The quality of the printing is very good on all paper types. It is NOT 100% as good as the OEM's, but I would say it easily obtains 90%. The letters and images it prints on all paper types are solid black with no missing or light spots, and after 6 months of fairly steady use, there is also no leaking. The issue that reduces it's results to 90% is that there is an ever-so-slight bleed of the ink on standard document paper, but it is VERY minor, and in NO way, would prevent me from using documents printed with these black cartridges for ANY purpose. I will, without reservation, be purchasing many more of these.

Now, onto the color one: The first #78 I received was no good. It fit perfectly, and was in perfect shape, but after the initial install, it would only print a bit of magenta. The other two colors were nonfunctional. I tried for several days every test and maintenance program my printer has trying to get it flowing ink, but nothing worked. I even took the cartridge out a gave it a couple of good downward shakes to see if the other two color reservoirs even had ink in them. They were in-fact filled, as ink slowly seeped from the print head, so I knew it was not some idiot forgetting to fill the other two reservoirs. I placed my almost-empty OEM #78 back in the printer just to make sure I hadn't broken something, but it printed fine with what ink it had left in it, so I determined that the TonerPal's #78 was in fact defective. I contacted them via their customer support email and they got back to me the same day with a very sincere sounding apology and assurances that they would send out a replacement straightaway. They were right. Two days later, a replacement was in my mailbox with a postage paid return envelope for the defective one. I installed the new one, and "wall-ah" it worked great. Just like the black #15, it installed, passed "print head alignment", and was good-to-go straight from the box. The color is rich, full, and dries quickly, just like the OEM's do. I have printed many photographs and documents in the 5 months this replacement has been installed with the same great results as the black #15. It does exhibit the same VERY minor bleed on standard paper just like the black one, but again, absolutely no reason to not use this cartridge's prints for any reason you may desire. Again, just as the Black #15, I will, without reservation, be purchasing many more of these.

Final thoughts, these are a great product with a company that seems to have a sincere desire to stand behind them. At around $20 for both cartridges, while OEM HP #15's run $20, and OEM HP 78's run $50, I will be a repeat customer of TonerPal's until the US national debt is paid in full! lol

I bought a set of these remanufactured cartridges last fall from the same company and am online to order again. the quality is just fine and the price much better than HP originals. shipping was fast. the only problem that I have had, which was noted in the packaging, is that my printer refuses to recognize them, posting ongoing messages to 'remove and check' one or the other. it takes a little persistance to work around this, but for the savings, and not reinforcing the high prices of the name brands, I find it worth it. I would prefer to use a refill kit (all in one style) but have yet to find them for the 15/78's.

The company I bought it from shipped the wrong color cartridge from this combo pack, but after contacting them they sent the correct HP 78 refill.

As far as the quality is concerned, both work just fine with my HP Deskjet 940c. I can't tell how much ink is in it, but the quality is just what I'd expect from a normal HP ink cartridge.

Honest reviews on HP 15 & HP 78 Tri-Color Remanufactured Ink Cartridges-Black

I orginally gave this product a 1 star based on the fact they did not work in my HP PSC 750. The seller then shipped me a 2nd set of reman cartridges. After initally receiving an error message on the black cartridge, I was able to finally clear the error message, align the cartridges and print. While the black colors are acceptable, the color is washed out, especially the blue. I tried both printing and copying. While the items are usable, they by no means are the equivalent of HP original cartridges. In fairness, they're also way cheaper. But, if you need a quality print or copy job, my original comments stand. You get what you pay for. Since I just got the cartridges, I can't comment on other reviewers who have noted the paucity of pages printed. I'll use these as I think the vendor is trying to do the right thing, but I cetainly wouldn't ever use these in a business environment that required turning out quality color prints or copies.

I ordered these cartridges for my HP 750. They printed fine, once. A few weeks later I tried to print again and they were all clogged. I had to throw them out. There's a reason these are so cheap.
