I bought this because at my friends wedding shower instead of games we did pictures with her and created a scrap book. I usually buy the canon ink for at home since I don't go through it that fast, however, this was going to be a big project printing all of those pictures out. WHAT A MESS!!! After the canon ink stared to run out and I replaced it with this, one at a time I had this ink leak right out all over the header! And not all at once! One color would leak, I'd have to clean everything up, print about 5 to 7 pictures and another color would leak. I would understand one faulty ink cartridge but, I had 4 that day. What junk! Stick to canon ink!!

1 of the cartridges was not recognized by my printer, I called customer service and received great support and a new cartridge. They were great to work withBest Deals for LD © Canon PGI225 & CLI226 Compatible Set of 14 Ink
Thank you amazon for providing cost effective ink that won't break your bank. I greatly appreciate it in light of today's economy where people are in need of a good value. These inks do what they say a look great in the process. I don't see any difference from original manufacturers ink. Great job and keep up the good work!Samuel Medina
Honest reviews on LD © Canon PGI225 & CLI226 Compatible Set of 14 Ink
I ordered the 14-pack with 4 large black (PGI225BK--pigment-based) cartridges, and 2 each of the smaller dye-based Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Gray. The other colors seem to work ok, but the large black consistently produces uneven printing results and clogs the cartridge head. I clean the head, it works once or twice and clogs again. I replaced the large black with another one, clogs again. Clean again, tried a 3rd large black, clogs again. You may be able to get by with using this brand of cartridge for the 5 colors ONLY, but I would definitely not recommend using the large black. We are going to stick with Canon OEM cartridges only for the PGI225BK.

I am very disappointed with my purchase both for the quality of the black ink in the PGI225 equivalent cartridge and LD's handling of the problems with the cartridges. I purchased these Canon compatible ink cartridges for my PIXMA MG8120 because my normal ink source (Carrot Ink, which I highly recommend) had not yet found a compatible cartridge that met their standards. I searched the web for companies carrying compatible cartridges and finally settled on LD based upon their reviews.Initially the purchase seemed like a good one. The inks were shipped promptly and arrived in a timely way. Initially, I only needed to replace the color cartridges all of which contain dye-based inks. These worked fine for me. The problems started when I needed to replace the pigment-based ink cartridge (PGI225, the largest cartridge). Very soon after installing it, I started having problems with the print head clogging. I'd seen this problem before in other printers when inferior pigment-based inks were used in compatible cartridges. If these inferior cartridges aren't removed from the printer quickly after the problems arise, you can end up with a worthless print head that will cost $50 or more to replace.
I immediately removed the offending cartridge and replaced it with a Canon cartridge. The clogging problem went away, confirming the problem was with the ink in LD's cartridge rather than the print head itself. LD warrants their cartridges for a year, and since I purchased the cartridges much less than a year ago, I contacted LD about the problem. They said that because I purchased the cartridges from Amazon ("Fulfilled by Amazon"), I would need to return them to Amazon. I went to the Amazon web site only to find that they would only accept returns for 30 days, which was less than the time since I'd purchased the cartridges.
I called LD again and explained that the cartridges that they warrant for a year could only be returned to Amazon within 30 days of purchase, so I would need them to compensate me for them. The only remedy they would offer was to replace the cartridges. I explained that replacement cartridges would not be useful to me because they would just clog the heads like the ones that I already had. They insisted that the only remedy they could provide was to replace the cartridges.
So LD is selling a pigment-based black ink that clogs Canon print heads, and if your purchase is fulfilled by Amazon, they will only replace them with similarly problematic cartridges. I suggest you simply avoid LD altogether and purchase your cartridges from a company that sells higher quality inks. Since Carrot Ink has now found a supplier that meets their standards for these cartridges, I recommend them as a cost effective alternative.
