I got this because I was sick of paying ridiculous amount of money for ink cartridges. So I threw my last printer in the trash and got a new Epson xp 310 and bought this product at the same time. After just a few weeks as expected the original ink on the black cartridge ran out, so I unpacked the CIS and there was not much information on how to install it but I asked the God Google and found a few videos that show the procedure, though not of them were exactly the same scenario they were helpful and got me through the Jerry rigging of the printer. I put them on and at first they did not work properly, I ran the clean head procedure and still didn't work, so as one of the videos showed I took the cartridges out and with the seringe included in the kit, I sucked each of the cartridges at the bottom were they hook up to the nozzle until I drew a few drops of ink out and installed them again, run a clean nozzle procedure again and Presto! the thing is working. Will see on the long run how it works out. I recommend that you buy a cheap printer so there's no big loss if the installation goes south. Good luck! I would have give it five stars if they had better info on the installation.Best Deals for Gigablock CIS CISS Continuous Ink Supply System For Epson

The installation is easy. In the beginning I couldn't get the cartridge snap into the slot because I tried to push "back". Then my husband tried to push "down". We heard a click sound right away and 4 cartridges were easily snapped into the slot. There is no "cartridge not recognized" message showed, no reset needed. The printer just simply started to print. The only problem I encountered was: At my first installation, I accidentally pulled off the side cover of the printhead. But I didn't snap it back properly. The printer kept saying "PAPER JAM". Then I pulled off the cover and put it back on again ,and the printer started to work well.
