My original cartridge that came with the HP Printer was no longer recognized by my computer. It's saying that there is no cartridge installed on the printer even thought there is. Took the bad one out and put this one in and everything works fine now. I wanted the XL version but couldn't fine one for the right price I was looking for.

This cartridge printed 12 copies the day I installed it. The next day when I turned my computer on, I got a message from HP Solution Center that there was a "Black Cartridge Problem". I took it out and reinstalled it per the troubleshooting instructions. Still didn't work. I took it out, cleaned it per instructions, and it STILL didn't work. I went to an office supply store this morning and bought a HP Officejet 901 cartridge and it works like a champ. I have had some luck with remanufactured before but I guess my "luck" ran out with this one. Take your chances.

Ink cartridges do not last long enough these days so, I ordered the extra large one HP901XL. It worked for a week and then developed a skip, on the page I would try to print. Not out of ink just skipping lines. changed cartridge and it printed ok. Must of gotten dirty or something. Tried cleaning it but didn't help. Hope these new ones I just go do better. Good luck. Cheap
