I will never buy the factory brand ink again. I've bought this brand of ink a few times now. I spend about ten dollars every two years on ink now with multiple people using one printer. I can't tell the difference between this and the factory ink. I've done photos and everything, it all looks great. I have a brother 490cw and love it with access to great quality cheap ink.

They do exactly what they are supposed to do. I have not had any dry cartridges, leaks or clogs. They work great for a mere fraction of the cost!

This batch of cartridges was a really good buy. As shown, I got 4 of each color, but each cartridge is sealed in its own thick cellophane, so I don't think I have to worry about using up the cartridges fast. They look as if they'll keep.

To use a cartridge, just tear off the yellow strip as shown. Don't try to peel off the dot of cellophane over the nozzle of each color. It seems when you insert each cartridge, that cellophane will automatically be pierced and the right amount of ink will jet out.

Also, don't worry if the working faces of the cartridges don't match the contours of your old authorized cartridges. Mine didn't match, but they still worked perfectly. Each of these Hi-Vision cartridges also has a little handle on its back that my old cartridges didn't have. That again proved to be no cause for concern. The whole cartridge, handle-and-all, fits into its slot in the compartment. But I still have to depress the tongue above each slot in order to extract a Hi-Vision cartridge again. It's just that the little handle provides a better grasping point when changing cartridges.

I mainly use the black cartridges, so I haven't had a chance to test how true the colors of these substitute cartridges will perform in the long run when reproducing photographs, etc. But so far, it's definitely so good.

This was so inexpensive that I was not sure if it would actually work well. I must say I am happy with the ink, it works just fine and no problems so far.
