I have an HP Photosmart 5510 which is in the list of compatible printers for this product. When I place these cartridges in the printer, I get an error message that "cartridge for older generation of printer". There is no "ok" button. According to HP's documentation, there was a change to the 564xl cartridges, and these contain the chip that makes them appear to be the older cartridges. The seller was a little slow to respond with a return authorization, and I am in the process of returning them now. I purchased the LD 564XL replacements, and they, so far, work fine in the 5510.

I replaced these inks for almost two months, I can't tell there is any difference between remanufactured ink cartridge and hp ink cartridge. They both worked the same to me. But I have a little compliant about the size of black cartridge, the picture shows the black cartridge is XL size, but the one I received was a regular size. It's still worth to buy.

We hadn't used the color ink wells in our printer for a couple of years (I only use black), so I really didn't have a lot of optimism when my wife told me she needed cartridges for our daughter's school project.
