I had better success with my first pair of these magenta Canon clones than did the previous reviewer, though I noticed the cartridge ran dry well ahead of its team-mates. On the other hand, when I previously ordered it (a couple of months ago), it was going for twice its current price. As a result, I was willing (especially after observing the price of the OEM equivalents) to give these a return engagement on my printer. Unfortunately, the 2nd time out was a disaster.

After several minutes of apparently satisfactory service, the first Magenta cartridge was no longer being seen by my printer. Repeated attempts to re-install the cartridge and achieve the illumination signaling contact all failed. The cartridge would light up but then immediately lose contact upon activation of the printer. So I went to the 2nd cartridge: same result. In my case, the problem seemed related to mechanical construction and electrical contacts rather than ink quality or dispersion. Both cartridges failed to "lock in," so at the least movement of the printer the cartridge simply popped loose. Hence, my present one-star rating.

There are many clone cartridges and many distributors, so it may be next to impossible to avoid the numerous "lemons" and order the ones that evidence better quality control. If you're planning to print a document affecting the lives and fortunes of hundreds (or the fate of a nation) or reproducing the priceless images of a first child or bride, it might be wise to have OEM cartridges for those occasions and to keep a supply of the non-OEM models for the rest of the time.

The Canon PIXMA MP560 recognizes this cartridge as the correct type, but when printing with this cartridge is does not produce the correct color. Do not buy!

Ink works fine in my Cannon MX860 and MX870 printers. No problems with them. I bought a large quantity over a year ago, and they are still working fine. I misjudged how many I would use in 3 4 months. Thankfully they are not rejected by the printer like the cannon ink is!

There is a lot of hot air blowing around on the internet from the original manufacturers warning that 3rd party ink will plug up your print head, print quality will be poor, etc. etc. I have been using 3rd party ink for about 4 years now, and have found no trouble with it at all. I recommend this company and its ink to you without hesitation. They sent the right stuff, ahead of time, and it works just fine. I would do business with them again, and I recommend that you consider doing business with them as well. BTW, my printer is a Canon MX870.

Ink worked fine in the printer, but it was messy installing it. A good bargain instead of buying OEM carts.
