As I'm sure most people are, I was skeptical about purchasing one of these cheaper cartridges. I looked at several different ones that are available on Amazon and ultimately settled on this one, as all the reviews were positive. And, as luck would have it, I received the cartridge, popped it into my C7280 All-In-One and it works great. No problems at all. I printed a few hundred pages worth of outlines and didn't even see a single smudge.I read plenty of reviews on these cheaper alternatives for ink cartridges, and let's face it, you are rolling the dice to some extent by going the cheaper route. I read plenty of reviews where ink spilled and ruined printers. But based on everything I've read very few people with a C7280 seem to have problems. So if that's the model you have, I'd say you should be in good shape with this cartridge.
A couple final side notes. I popped this cartridge in and although it wasn't recognized as a genuine HP product, the black ink level registered 100% full. I also had a Cyan ink cartridge that I inserted at the same time, which was actually genuine HP. Ironically, the Cyan ink level only showed about 75% full. So, that goes to show you that even if you pay extra for the "genuine HP" stuff, that is no guarantee it's going to be perfect, or even better than the alternative. I think that will be the absolute last time I over-pay for any HP ink. Lastly, the shipping was incredibly fast. I chose standard shipping but had the cartridge in my mailbox within a few days.
If you're one of the people, like me, who was on the fence about purchasing this product, I hope this helps you make a better-informed decision.

I purchased this replacement ink cartridge expecting to have problems and I was pleasantly surprised. Just for a little background, I have a HP Photosmart C7250 all in one printer that does everything I need it to do and I love to use it. My biggest problem is replacement ink. I purchased a OfficeMax brand black ink double pack and when the first one ran out about 6 months later I put the second one in my machine and it said the ink had expired and I was unable to use it. How the heck does ink expire???Since I did not have the receipt they would not let me return and to buy another single ink cartridge I would have to pay $21, more than the OfficeMax brand double pack cost. So off to Amazon I went and found this cartridge from a Amazon third party seller and it cost me almost $4 with shipping.
I put it in my printer and it has been working fine ever since and I must have printed at least 100 pages by now and no problem with leaking or print quality.
THANK YOU very much. Until I get a new machine I will be buying all of my ink from this seller and might continue after I buy a new machine. One thing I will never do again is buy a double ink pack.
