It took me almost two months to use the generous cartridge that came with my Epson printer, but I bought this in advance, thinking that the original cartridge would last a couple of weeks and a couple of hundred pages. (Consider that I have two printers.) Well, it finally ran out, and I had this one handy. The print, on my letterhead, on plain copy paper, or some fancy 15 pound stock is great. Clean and sharp from the smallest font to the largest. That's probably a function of both printer and ink, but it works for me. It says it's "smudge resistant." Maybe they have to put it that way, but it hasn't smudged once, not even when I had a minor jam.
