This was my second purchase of Sophia Global ink cartridges for my Canon printer. Although the Canon takes relatively inexpensive ink, even from Canon, the fact that there are five cartridges to replace makes it more costly if you do a lot of printing. My first encounter with these proved to me that they are as good as the 'real thing,' and decidedly less expensive. I value my printer and don't want to clog it with substandard ink; the Sophia Global product has proven safe.

I hesitated to purchase the Canon Pixma based upon all of the bad reviews on the cost of ink (this could be said about any printer brand...that is why they basically "give away" the printer). This is a great alternative and my wife does a lot of text printing, very cost effective and works just like the OEM ink. She purchased one OEM cartridge at a big box store and the one cartridge was double the cost of these five cartridges and lasted about the same amount of time. So far, this cartridge seems to be better than the OEM Canon. Ink is blacker and installation was no problem. Since the large black cartridge is used up first (we do most of our printing in black), the set of five is not out of line with the projected usage rate for about three color sets. Now, if Sofia would only make a CYM color set, and sell it for less than the CYMK set, the all-black LARGE set of five would make even more sense. On the other hand, if Canon would modify their software so that it would stop complaining about the shortage of ink, I could use just the large black cartridge and forget about the color entirely. After all, I do 99% of my printing in text or gray scale mode anyway, so having a color printer is actually an inconvenience. After my HP printer died, the only reason that I bought the Canon printer was because it, and the ink was cheap. Now that Sophia is here, new cartridges are even less expensive than refills. When the Canon dies, I'll probably look for a black-only printer. Maybe, by that time, someone will be building one that uses bulk ink from a refillable tank. What an amazing product. Quality ink for my Canon printer that doesn't cost an arm and a leg! In the past, buying ink for my Canon printer was so expensive. I use my printer fairly regularly and I was spending so much money for ink cartridges. Then I found out about Sophia Global compatible ink cartridges. They were so reasonably priced, I thought, wait a minute, what's the catch? How can Sophia sell ink cartridges for so much less than Canon. Well, there was no catch. Their ink cartridges are great and I have been using them for a while now and love them. And I love the price. I get so many cartridges for a very reasonable price, the cost of the ink is so reasonable, it barely makes a dent in my budget. The ink itself is high quality, doesn't leak, no mess, and very easy to use. Sophia is a class operation. My most recent ink order arrived the day after I ordered it. I suspect that Sophia is one of the new caring, customer-oriented businesses that is trying to operate with integrity and supply ink cartridges at a fair price. This is unlike Canon and all the other major companies who are trying to gouge the consumer and intimidate us into feeling we must buy their expensive, name brand ink cartridges---and that we don't have a choice. Everyone knows Canon and the other brand names take advantage of us. What a breath of fresh air Sophia Global is. They are the wave of the future in supplying quality products, fairly priced, with spotless service. And, they sell ink for all my other equipment too. I've just bought ink for my new copier as well from them. On Amazon, if I look up the Canon number of the ink I want, Sophia offers their equivalent ink product right there, and they make it very easy to translate the Canon (or any other) ink number to their Sophia number so you can't make a mistake.
