I was a little skeptical using off-brand ink in my $400 printer, but at the price Canon was charging, I could afford to buy a new printer if I used just 4 sets of this ink. Well, I had 3 of the colors go low in my printer (Cyan, Yellow, and Magenta), so I decided to replace just those 3. The printer recognized them no problem, and the test prints I did after replacement looked just fine. There was no leakage in the new cartridges, and they looked identical to the Canon units I took out. I think we have a winner at a small fraction of the cost. Also, I just noticed that Sophia Global offers a six pack of cartridges for $11.20 2 Cyan, 2 Yellow, and 2 Magenta. How convenient these are the ones that I use the most of.

The company was super responsive when we called about the green cartridge missing the chip. In two days, we had a replacement. But it too had no chip. We called again. The company was super responsive with emails, apologies, a phone call and replacment cartridge. Still no chip.

They issued a partial refund for the green cartridge -not that you can do much with a missing cartridge, but a nice gesture anyway. They called again and offered another replacement. This time one out of two cartridges had the chip, but that was was defective.

Oh well, time to move on.

The only problem was that one of the cartridges dripped when I opened it. Fortunately I opened them over a paper towel. After dabbing the excess, the cartridges worked perfectly. Compared to the Canon cartridges, I can actually afford to make all the prints I want.
