I received the toner, and used it for a few days and then my printer stated that the black cartridge was at the end of it's life. this was a high-yield black toner cartridge. I've emailed the seller for a replacement cartridge, we shall see what happens.

Brother seems to be the most fragile vendor as far as generic replacement cartridges go. Although the OEM cartridges are expensive, don't waste your time and money with off-brand replacements, even though it seems like you're saving money. They either leak or do not work at all.
