I used the 23 Cartridge and it wouldn't let me refill it due to a smart chip, I read the 23A could be. Will find out when this one runs out, if not new printer that can be is in my future.

My son said it fit his printer as described and works great. I would recommend this over a cheap refill as we found them problematic and unreliable.

This black replacement cartridge works well with my Lexmark X4550.

For those of you who don't know the difference between 23 and 23a, the latter (23a) allows you to refill it at a local print shop rather than buying a new cartridge next time.

When i brought the printer it work very well and for the price it was worth it ,yet they could and should lower the price of the ink as it can be expensive at times if your on a fixed income so i used it sparely and not waste it.
